The South City Blues Band is dedicated to the groove, providing you with a unique blend of swinging Jump Blues (our specialty), Jazz/Funk Blues, and "old-school" R&B. Whatever you want to call it, this music will get you up and moving. We play a variety of styles to keep it interesting, but our rhythm section keeps it in the pocket, and we never stray far from the source of our musical inspiration — the blues! Between the cutting vocals, ripping guitar lines, wailing sax, and swinging rhythm, we don't let up.
South City Blues is composed of four veteran Bay Area musicians who have shared the stage with some of the blues legends including Mitch Woods, Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Chris Cain, Kenny Blue Ray, and many others.
