John Boutell - guitar
Recording artist, singer,
songwriter, producer,
engineer and performer,
recently relocated from
Ventura to San Francisco,
California with several
critically acclaimed CD's.
He has been performing
up and down the coast
playing his personal style
of blues he developed over
the years and conjured up
from those feelings and
experiences on the road
of life.
John Lull - tenor saxophone
A native of Oakland, California
John's tenor sax has been a
mainstay of the Bay Area rhythm
and blues scene for many years.
John has played in a wide variety
of Bay Area bands, like Drivin'
Wheel, Good Life Rhythm and
Blues Revue, The Third Street
Blues Band, and Souled Out.
He has been influenced by all
the great jazz, jump blues, and
soulful sax players, like Red
Prysock, Louis Jordon, King
Curtis, Jr. Walker, and many
more. He lives on the coast near
Half Moon Bay where he teaches
ocean kayaking, when he's not
blowin' his horn.
Norm DeCarlo - drums
A true local veteran of many
bands and styles of music.
In addition to working as
the drummer for the South
City Blues Band Norm also
works for The Sonny Rhodes
West Coast Blues Band,
Kenny "Blue" Ray and Pat
Wilder. Norm also has a film-
ography. He has worked
on many feature films in his
career and also is an
exhibiting sculptor who's
work is currently on display
in several bay area galleries.
Ray Figueroa - bass
Ray is a working pro who has
played with some of the best
there is. He is the bassist for
the Sonny Rhodes West Coast
Blues Band. Ray has
performed many dates with
the blues veteran in addition
to his work with the Kenny
"Blue" Ray Blues Band. Band
leadership is no stranger to he
or his wife Cathy who ran the
Sweet and Sticky Band for many
years and worked all over the
bay area.
